The University is now seeking a new Vice Provost for Enrollment Management (VPEM) to capture the entrepreneurial, innovative spirit of Purdue and extend it into all areas of enrollment management.

Indiana’s land-grant university and the system’s flagship campus, Purdue offers more than 200 undergraduate programs, more than 80 graduate programs, and professional degrees in pharmacy and veterinary medicine. Since 2013, Purdue has advanced an ambitious agenda called Purdue Moves. In 2021, Purdue’s Next Moves were launched, with the goal of continuing the University’s significant momentum. These strategic initiatives will leverage Purdue’s distinct strengths and harness the power and people of Purdue to advance the University, the community, and the world toward a safer, more sustainable, and equitable future. In 2022, a bold new vision for higher education in Indiana was announced – Purdue University in Indianapolis. A fully integrated extension of Purdue’s flagship campus, Purdue University in Indianapolis will bring the academic rigor and accessible excellence the University is known for to central Indiana.

Committed to affordability, accessibility, and excellence, Purdue is seeking a VPEM to lead an enrollment operation that is ambitious, innovative, and dedicated to serving students from Indiana, the nation, and the world. Reporting to Provost Patrick Wolfe, the VPEM is the chief enrollment and admissions officer at Purdue, providing leadership and coordination for a comprehensive enrollment management strategy that is consistent with the goals, mission, and resources of the University. The VPEM is responsible for an operating budget of $17 million; financial aid awarding of over $467 million; and over 200 permanent, seasonal, and student staff.

The VPEM will help Purdue take its “next giant leap,” building on current strengths, enhancing national and global visibility, and deftly and collaboratively managing the many complex imperatives to achieve the University’s goals for enrollment. The successful candidate will be an innovative and strategic leader of national distinction. They will possess the skill to lead enrollment in a complex environment, superior communication and listening skills, exceptional analytical capacity and technological sophistication, and the ability to make connections across the University with attention to balancing multiple priorities and goals.
